Events Centre

The Events Centre is a multi-functional conference and events space with its own entrance and state-of-the-art technology.

The Events Centre can be configured in a variety of formats, to suit large scale award ceremonies, charity gala auctions, weddings, Christmas parties, student balls, corporate conferences, large scale training events, or Annual General Meetings.

The Oak

The impressive Oak room boasts many original and ornate features from when it was built in 1896, including magnificent oak panelled walls, an imposing fireplace, and cut-glass chandeliers. With a capacity for up to 120 delegates, depending on event type, its contemporary and muted colour scheme blends perfectly with its charming historic characteristics to make it a spectacular setting for meetings, exhibitions, pre-dinner drinks receptions, celebration birthday parties, and private dinners on a grand scale.

Ebor

The Ebor room, aptly named after the famous Ebor racing festival, has simple but stylish design and décor. It is one of our more intimate event spaces. Located on the ground floor close to the Chapter House Bar, The Ebor boasts uninterrupted views across the meticulously manicured lawns and York’s city walls and offers the ideal setting for small meetings, private dinners, weddings, or as a syndicate room.

Minster room

Stylish and filled with natural light, our neutrally toned Minster Room overlooks our beautiful hotel gardens with a prime view of York Minster in the distance. Located on the ground floor near to the business centre, the Minster is an ideal main meeting room or a large syndicate room.

Wedgewood room

Situated on the 1^st floor of the hotel, the Wedgewood is light and airy, offering views of our gardens and York Minster in the distance, it is ideal as a meeting room or large syndicate room (if using the Crown room next door). It also has its owns breakout refreshment area.

Crown room

Situated on the 1^st floor of the hotel, The Crown is a versatile room with a view of York Minster in the distance. With traditional neutral décor, ornate wall panelling and crystal chandeliers, The Crown feels contemporary with high ceilings and large windows overlooking the gardens and York Minster. This meeting room is ideal as a main meeting room or large syndicate room and also perfect for small intimate dinners.

Leeman/Dante

Both Leeman and Dante are contemporary in feel with stylish décor, natural daylight and both have built-in plasma TV screens. They are both set as boardrooms with all the amenities you will need for your monthly get together, or they make an ideal small syndicate space for up to 12 delegates

Jorvik

Tiles room

Located in a quieter area of The Principal York, on the lower ground, The Tiles is a unique grade II listed meeting space for up to 20 delegates with its eclectic ‘tiles’ from floor to ceiling and original ornate features. The Tiles is perfect for the smaller meetings or syndicate room.

Clifford
